Staff
Staff members are carefully selected based on their demonstrated ability to work with pre-school aged children and families. Their qualifications meet NAEYC standards which include annual training requirements in early childhood education. They respond to each child’s needs and interests on a personal level, involving parents in the process. Teams collaborate to provide individual and group experiences designed to promote children’s development.
Facilities
Children enrolled in JUK will find a bright and cheerful environment especially planned for them. Classrooms are designed and generously equipped for active exploration and discovery, and for a variety of age-appropriate activities. Large windows provide an abundance of natural light throughout the Center. There is designated space for each child’s belongings. A separate children’s library is available where teachers can encourage children’s love of books. To accommodate and encourage physical development and exploration, the Center has large indoor play areas on each floor. The ground floor area has an indoor playground complete with playground equipment.
